My Life, Education, and Educational Goal

I have one daughter, Shaneva, who is eight. I have been her cheerleader coach at Municipal Park for the past four years. I teach the cheerleaders basic movement, routines, and safety tips. I also volunteer at Griggs Elementary as a math tutor for the third grade. I am a junior at the University of South Alabama. Once I enter the work force I plan to integrate technology in my classroom.

How to use Blogging in the Classroom

I will use blogging in the classroom as communication tool between school and home. I will post weekly assignment. This also allow students to post any questions, comments, and concerns they may have. This is also a great tool for student to stay connected with each other while out on holiday breaks or during projects.

New Media

I feel that one of the best aspects of new media is that it gives us a chance to get to know about other people and their culture. The new media such as Twitter, Skype, and Facebook offer was to communicate with anyone around the world. I will teach my student how to network by using a PLN. Because I am teaching elementary it will be a PLN within the school. I think that students that network on projects have better learning experience compared to a student that listen to lectures. Networking teaches student how to find reliable sources and it also gives them the opportunity to network with other students, and people around the world.
